Conifer or softwood

One of the most popular materials in the production of floor stands is coniferous wood. You can choose either pine and fir 1st class boards or either eco or “Rustic” style pine and fir 2nd class boards. 

1. Pine and fir 1st class boards- planed boards, without splinters. The surface is soft, flat. It absorbs paint relatively little, so the wood texture shines through the paint after painting or staining.

2. Eco style pine/fir 2nd class boards – unplaned boards. Eco or “Rustic” style surface, uneven, a bit rough. Absorbs paint well, and has an ecological appearance. Using this material will save natural and labor resources in its preparation. Branch holes in the surface of the boards are permissible for this material.

3. Brushed or aged boards- brushed surface with polished soft wood tissue. In some cases, in order to get the look of old wood, special mechanical processing is performed, nail holes are made, and various small defects-effects are made. It is handmade with additional costs, so it is recommended to make only individual elements from this material. 

Hardwood – most popular hardwoods are oak, ash, birch and economic class hardwood- European alder

1. Alder 1st class boards – planed boards. Looks good naturally, without dyeing. One of the most popular low-cost hardwood materials. 

2. Alder 2nd class boards – unplaned boards without additional sanding. The surface has an uneven, rough, ecological appearance. Natural and labor resources are saved in its preparation. Branch holes in the surface of the boards are permissible and the boards tend to be slightly curved. 

An essential part of the production of our wooden floor stands is veneer or plywood leftovers. The use of scraps often reduces the price of the product and, of course, also saves material resources and protects nature.

Veneers are divided into 3 classes:

1. class – without branches
2. class – with branches and patches  
3. class – with black branches and hollows in the branches
